January into February 2021 and we have had some cold and wet weather,
Spring is slowly approaching!. Our latest Middle White litter had been
kept warm by their heat-lamp from the worst of the cold but now they are
independent from mum and we have gradually weaned them off it. However,
they have plenty of straw to bury into !
We have had some interest from other pig keepers and so some will be
sold on. Hopefully one of our gilts will be sold on for future breeding
and so another Carnation line added, which is fantastic! I also have my
eye on one of the young boars, we may keep and use on a couple on new
gilts that we may add to our herd.
Our holiday cottage update – hopefully completing this coming week, some
work to do and then we shall be ready to take bookings for when Covid-19
restrictions ease.
